St John Ambulance In Eketāhuna

The St John Service
is reliant on volunteers to maintain the level of current cover. St John is looking
for new volunteers and should the uptake allow, the training could be provided in Eketāhuna.

Steve Yanko, a St John representative attended the Eketāhuna Health Centre meeting. Steve confirmed that St John is and will continue to be committed to having an Ambulance Service in Eketāhuna. Eketāhunawill retain the First Response Unit which will be available 24/7.There are two types of vehicles available for the first response unit.

The vehicle for Eketāhuna is due for a review and St John will consult with their staff and the community before a final decision is made on what type will serve the community.
