A couple of comments from our April Meeting:
We heard a presentation from Peter Sinclair, the Tararua District Councils Emergency main advisor. Peter will come and meet with the Eketāhuna Community Civil Defence Response Group in the near future, possibly in June. I will update with a time and place as soon as I know and encourage anyone interested to come along.
Larissa Barclay has a survey on the Eketāhuna Community Facebook page to gauge public interest in developing a skating rink beside the Community Centre, please look it up and give your opinion.
We discussed the MENZ Shed application to Council to build a community skills shed.
It was voted on to extend the deadline for the Community Grants Applications and also nominations for the Alf Rowden Humanitarian Award.
Full meeting minutes and Community Board member contact details can be viewed on the TDC website and the
meetings are open to the public. If anyone has any items they would like to present, please submit them in writing two weeks before a meeting so they can be added to the Agenda. You can then attend the meeting to present it.
