Those who have used our clinical services in recent weeks will have noticed a new face at the health centre; we welcome Registered Nurse Sara onto the team. There is a Covid vaccination clinic on Thursday 27th April 3 – 6pm. May. If you have a child who needs their childhood immunisations, please give us a call.

Chair Yoga, Gym class and Menz Shed well-being activities run each week. There’s a monthly Ladies Brunch third Monday. Next one 15th May 11am at St. Cuthberts Hall – that’s the day after Mother’s day. Wairarapa REAP will run a Te Reo Class during term 3.

Also in May at the health centre, we have a cooking demo from Diabetes Trust, Thursday 11 May 11am -12.30pm. This will be of interest to pre-diabetic patients as well as those already diagnosed.

If you are suffering from hardship and need kai assistance, please call or text 021 034 7762 and we may be able to help. We thank everyone at WaiWaste for providing 722kg of food rescue for our foodbank and pataka kai between Jan – Mar 2023

Our survey last month has just 43 responses but it did give us some insight into the levels of satisfaction around our services. 90% of respondents were happy with the clinical services and 79% were happy with our opening hours. Consequently we will endeavour to offer some vaccination clinics on a Saturday and create better opportunities for cervical smears. Thanks to those who left wonderful comments too. The winner of the ham will be drawn soon.

And finally a MASSIVE THANK YOU to the incredible committee who donated $2500 from the Eketahuna Ball; we are all so grateful to them and those that attended for this support.

Thank you for your continued support
