Copper’s Corner

The majority of my time during April has been spent attending a number of vehicle crashes with attendance at two serious crashes on ANZAC Bridge.

The 1st accident was truck verses car.

The car came off 2nd best.

The 2nd was a head on resulting in serious injury to occupants of both vehicles.

I recently visited a number of farms in the Eketahuna/Alfredton area with Steve Thomson who is the Wairarapa Police Chaplin and he’s also part of the East Coast Rural Support Trust. I really enjoyed getting out and about and chatting to the farmers I came across.

The main issue relayed to me is poachers so I have been conducting a number of patrols during my day and late shifts in the rural area and to date I haven’t come across any suspicious activity, but will keep up my patrols.

Regards
