NZGB Gazettal 2020-ln3118.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Warren Chase, of Te Hika o Papauma, explains why it is important that the name  Eket\u0101huna  is spelt with a macron \u2013 &#8220;as our name is made up of two words \u2013 eke and t\u0101huna &#8211; eke means to come up on or above, t\u0101huna is sandbank and the word t\u0101huna, meaning sandbank, has a macron&#8221;.
