Come and explore the amazing bushwalks and tramping tracks that will lead you into the magnificent Tararua Ranges. You can do a short walk, a full day\u2019s tramp or even \u201cgo bush\u201d for a night or two, or if you are into  Trail Running   try the <a aria-label=\"Tararua Traverse (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wildthings.club\/trails\/manawatu-wanganui\/eketahuna\/tararura-traverse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tararua Traverse<\/a>. Miller Scenic Reserve is \napproximately 8.5 km south of  Eketahuna on State Highway 2, just south \nof the Anzac Bridge. You can  stop for a picnic or you might like an \neasy walk, of approximately 20  minutes, passing through the bush \nreturning to the rest area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mount Bruce Lookout Walk<\/strong><br>\nThe Mt. Bruce Lookout walk can be accessed through the Pukaha Mt Bruce \nVisitor Centre (please note there is a charge to enter the park, see \nPukaha Mt Bruce Wildlife Park below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allow an hour to reach the lookout where you will have a magnificent \nview of the surrounding area. This track is quite steep in places and \ngood walking shoes are advisable and perhaps a drink. There are also \nother walking tracks in the Pukaha Mt Bruce Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Check out Pukaha Mt Bruce: <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pukaha.org.nz\/\">www.pukaha.org.nz\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Newman Domain<br> <\/strong>Newman Domain is a lovely peaceful\n spot by the Makakahi River  with a large grass area, bush and trees, \nideal for picnics and swimming.  <strong>Visit by prior arrangement<\/strong>, due to stock grazing.<br><strong>Directions: <\/strong>North\n from Eketahuna, turn right down  Higginson\u2019s Road.
