P\u016bkaha was a key piece of redress for  Rangit\u0101ne for its significance to their tribal identity. It is a 942-ha  unfenced reserve in the Wairarapa\/Tararua that has huge conservation  importance for the nation and is of cultural significance for Rangit\u0101ne.
