{"id":4642,"date":"2023-07-12T14:18:54","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T02:18:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.eketahuna.co.nz\/?p=4642"},"modified":"2023-08-01T09:57:57","modified_gmt":"2023-07-31T21:57:57","slug":"matariki-celebration-at-pukaha-gold-coin-entry-te-wananga-taiao-community-viewing-sessions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eketahuna.co.nz\/?p=4642","title":{"rendered":"Matariki Celebration at P\u016bkaha &#8211; Gold Coin Entry &#8211; Te W\u0101nanga Taiao Community Viewing Sessions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On this significant day of Matariki and the inauguration of Te W\u0101nanga Taiao at P\u016bkaha on the 14th of July, P\u016bkaha National Wildlife Centre will only be open to the Public from 1.30pm, with gold coin entry.<br>We are thrilled to also offer three exclusive self-guided viewing opportunities of our new facility.<br>Te W\u0101nanga Taiao will be open to the public for Three, 1 hour long self-guided viewing sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1:30 pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2:30 pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&amp; 3:30 pm<br>The public will get the opportunity to explore Te W\u0101nanga Taiao and all its facilities, the whare kai, the accommodation centre and the wharenui, which has special significance to Mana Whenua, Rangit\u0101ne o Wairarapa and Rangit\u0101ne o Tamaki nui-\u0101-Rua. Carvings crafted by P\u016bkaha National Wildlife\u2019s onsite carvers adorn the wharenui.<br><em>Visitors on a self-guided Te W\u0101nanga Taiao viewing experience can look to get wowed as they immerse themselves in k\u014drero (stories), told by local volunteer guides, who will be stationed in various rooms and buildings of Te W\u0101nanga Taiao<\/em>.<br>However, please note that spaces for these viewings are limited to 30 people &amp; &#8216;first in, first served&#8217;, enhancing the intimacy and depth of the experience.
