Our mission is to provide services to promote a<br>healthy community through affordable health services, community participation and education.<br>Enrolment is easy and you remain registered with your GP (if you are lucky to have one)<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our nurse-led clinic is open Monday \u2013 Thursday 9am \u2013 12pm, 2pm \u2013 4pm; Friday 9am -12pm, 1.30pm<br>\u2013 2.45pm. When we are closed, call Healthline on 0800 611 116. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) and New Year\u2019s Eve (Wednesday) we will be closing at 3pm<br>Over the festive period, we will closed Christmas Day (Thursday) and Boxing Day (Friday), New Year\u2019s<br>Day (Thursday) and Friday 2nd January 2026. We are open Christmas Eve, Monday 29th December,<br>Tues 30th December and New Year\u2019s Eve. Please ensure all your prescriptions are picked up prior to<br>both long weekends.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our holistic health offering includes our nurse-led clinic, counselling, health coaching and exercise<br>programmes for those with long term health conditions from Jono. Gym facilities are open during<br>clinic hours for gold coin donation. We have user pays service from Back in Action every Wednesday;<br>go to www.getbackinaction.co.nz to book this service.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weekly Well-Being activities: Mondays Chair Yoga 9.45am at St. Cuthbert\u2019s Hall and Wednesdays<br>Menz Shed (next to the health centre) from 9.30am. Both continue in December; the last Chair Yoga<br>session is Monday 15th December. Menz Shed will be running up to and including Christmas Eve.<br>Wairarapa Community Law Tuesday 2 November 1pm \u2013 3pm. Come and talk to Victoria Walker for<br>legal advice.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The excellent Eket\u0101huna Crop Swap is Sunday 14 December 10.30am. Please ensure you bring<br>something garden related to swap. We are having a shared kai to celebrate Christmas and going to 21<br>Alfredton Road for the occasion! No dogs please and no hot food.<br>Our next monthly lady\u2019s brunch will be on Monday 15 December 11am at the health centre in the<br>community garden.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eket\u0101huna Community Garden working bee will be Thursday 18 December 10am \u2013 12noon. We would<br>love some more volunteers over the summer period. If Thursdays don\u2019t work, please get in touch and<br>we can tee up another time.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eket\u0101huna Food Bank can provide kai assistance to those living in Eket\u0101huna. Call or text Emma on<br>021 250 3015 to access this service.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have billboards up in town thanks to Property Brokers advertising the Christmas Food Drive on<br>Monday 15 December from 6pm. Many thanks to Eke Fire Brigade, Police and local tamariki for their<br>assistance in collecting from doorsteps or mail boxes. If you are new to town, this is a great way to<br>give back to the community; food from the night helps us provide Christmas food parcels and stocks<br>our foodbank cupboards. If you live outside the 70kmph zone, please drop your donation of non-<br>perishable goods to the health centre during clinic hours.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to those who turned out for White Ribbon Riders and read to stories of those who suffered<br>violence which have been on trees near the community centre. It is really important that we stand up<br>and speak out.
