The Universal Hotel. It was established in 1890 by Mr Toohil and the licensee changed hands multiple times. It became White's Universal hotel in 1893, The Universal in 1894 with Mr Edward J Searl, then in 1896 Mr Henry Timms and in 1888 Mr Beckman.
