You might have seen some groups of children walking around town recently. These were the junior classes from Eketāhuna School, exploring our town, making maps and making discoveries. Now they are building a 3D town map and sorting photos for a digital project.
The Home and School Committee held a really great Golf Tournament which raised money for a new water bottle filling station for students and some extra learning experiences. Everyone also had lots of fun at our school disco which raised money for senior camp.
The students have been working as hard as ever on their reading, writing and maths skills, but they have also been busy baking Anzac biscuits, running a tracking and trapping project, learning ukulele and bucket drumming and (almost) beating the teachers in a game of softball!
