Brrr! It may be winter but all the kids at Eketāhuna School have been keeping warm by staying active!
The brave seniors and a few committed staff members plunged into the arctic temperature of the school pool to raise money for the senior camp at El Rancho at the end of the year. Cool effort!
Rugby balls have been shooting through the air! Kids have been getting excited about playing rippa rugby thanks to Cam from Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union who has been visiting us every Tuesday. We’ve been having so much fun!
Our top runners competed against others from around the district, completing the brutal course with style at the Bush Schools Road Race. Competitors were lucky that it didn’t rain on the day. Everyone ran well and it was great to hear all the cheering.
We have the holidays coming up, from July 10th until the 26th. Of course, we’re looking forward to those!
