Te Whare Ora O Eketāhuna
As a Nurse led practice and a Registered Charity, Eketāhuna Health Centre is open five days a week.
Monday – Thursday 9am – 12.30pm, 1.30pm – 4.30pm.
Friday 9am – 12.30pm, 1.30pm – 3pm.
Please note Monday 29th November we will be CLOSED.
For December there will be some earlier closing due to staff availability. There is limited nursing support for holidays during these COVID times.
Our annual Christmas holidays start after Christmas Eve opening. The health centre will be closed Saturday 25th December for eleven days and reopen Wednesday 5th January 9am.
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with your General Practitioner’s opening days hours during this time and ensure meds are stocked for the break.

Weekly Well-being Groups with physical distancing observed.
Monday
9.45am – 10.30am Chair Yoga at St. Cuthbert’s Hall. Koha.
6.30pm – 8.30pm Te Reo classes with Jordan Bennett 027 855 4739
Tuesday
9.10am – 10am Community Exercise Group at EHC. Koha. If you use the gym during this class or at any other time, please remember to clean down the equipment after use.
Wednesday
Menz Shed 9.30am – 12.30pm.
Thursday
Sewing class with Billy Gordon 6pm – 9pm
B4 School Check is planned for Thursday 2nd December 10am – 2pm. Please call the health centre to book in your 4 year old.

Our November FoodWaste Workshop was postponed.
The new date is Thursday December 2nd 6.30pm – 7.30pm at Eketāhuna Community Garden. The tutor has run successful workshops in Dannevirke and Woodville. We thank Wairarapa REAP for supporting. Text Emma 021 250 3015 to book your spot.

Our Christmas Kai Drive is planned for Friday 10th December. There will be contactless pick up so please leave your donations by your mailbox or end of the path to the house from 6pm.
There will be two crews to cover the town so look out for local children, Eketāhuna Police and members of Eketāhuna Fire Brigade who support Eketāhuna Health Centre with this crucial food drive. If you live outside of town, there will be a Christmas box for you to drop off at the back of the health centre.
We are looking for non-perishable food items with a few Christmas treats for our food bank.
