Whio Awareness Month

March in Whio Awareness month and at Pūkaha we love to shine a light on our fast water birds. Meet Cruiser: a whio that hatched last month in our incubation facility. Whio are into the water from day one. Cruiser has been loving his supervised paddling sessions with the Pūkaha team. Soon he will be old enough to head up to Tongariro National Trout Centre and join our other whio at their training facility.
