Christmas Kai Drive

Now is the time gather any non-perishable food items for our Christmas Kai Drive. This annual food drive provides for Christmas food parcels and helps replenish our food bank stocks to maintain our food bank service throughout the year. The Christmas Kai Drive will take place on Monday 12th December 6pm with our local police and fire brigade driving vehicles around town to pick up your donations. We are in need of the following items: Jars – jams, preserves, chutneys and sauces. Dried – rice, noodles, pasta, breakfast cereals. Tinned – baked beans, spaghetti, meat, fish, vegetables, soup, pasta sauce, fruit. Christmas treats – chocolate biscuits, fruit syrup. If you live rurally, you can drop off at the back of the health centre. A box will be provided from December 1st. We are most grateful for any donation.

If you are suffering from hardship now, please call or text the food bank on 021 034 7762 and we may be able to help. If you would like to put your name forward for a Christmas food parcel, text or call the food bank.
