Eketāhuna Community Board August 2024 Meeting

A few items of note from our August meeting:

Tararua District Council are running some ‘drop in’ workshops regarding the Urban Growth Strategy. Key concepts are vibrancy and character, safety and useability, connectivity, buildings, and community involved. Board Members are also available to listen to your ideas.
We are planning to consult on a community-led development plan.
Due to changes in the Eketāhuna Civil Defense Committee it was decided that the Eketāhuna Community Board will take over this role with plans to meet will all services concerned and update the Civil Defense plan.

NB: the Antenno App is a great way to receive notifications from Council – from Civil Defence Alerts to Recycling/Rubbish Day Reminders to Road Closures. There is also a feature that you can use to report issues such as pot-holes, blocked drains, overgrown footpaths, etc, or to provide feedback and ideas to your Council.
